The Innocents

It is summer and the days are both long and bright. But not everyone goes on a holiday. Four children get to know each other and together they explore the apartment buildings where they live and the forest around. Hidden from the parents’ eyes, the children’s innocent play develops into something more. Creepy things start to happen.

The Innocents is a nailbiting thriller, directed by Eskil Vogt, and was selected for the Un Certain Regard program in Cannes this year. The film mixes both horror elements with intelligent shades of social realism, offers fantastic role performances of children and adults and is a powerful film that sits with the viewer
