Sun Children

12-year-old Ali and his three friends all work hard to survive and support their families. They do small jobs in a garage and commit petty crimes to make quick money. Then Ali gets the chance of a lifetime. He is entrusted with finding a hidden treasure underground. He recruits his gang, but first, to gain access to the tunnel, the children must enroll in Sun School, a charity that tries to educate street children and child laborers near where the treasure is located. Director Majid Majidi, known from the fantastic Children of Heaven, once again brings brilliant and naturalistic children’s acting packed in a solid script. In terms of genre, it balances between a tearful drama about child labor and an exciting heist film.
