Seyran Ateş: Sex, Revolution and Islam

Seyran Ateş grew up in Berlin as a young Muslim girl, fighting against oppression. Since then, she has strived to reorganize Islam. Now she is a lawyer, feminist and one of the first female imams in Europe, working for a sexual revolution within the religion. Among other things, she is opening the first mosque without gender segregation. Here we get to know how wise, energetic and tough this woman is. Especially in a time of countless online threats. The humanitarian focus of this radical woman is highlighted in a personal documentary, which draws on the revolutionary thoughts of the hippie movement in the 1960s, as well as the terror and right-wing extremism in Norway on July 22, 2011.
