The evening before Christmas Eve, Vilde is hanging out with her friends at the Oslo central station, when she learns that her mother has been in an accident. She is forced to contact her biological father, but attempts escaping it all by running away to Tokyo.

Harajuku is a deeply moving portrayal of a personal tragedy, and questions our society’s ability to take care of the young and vulnerable. The film has received 9 Amanda nominations, including Best Female Lead for Ines Høysæter Asserson’s impressive debut.
