Apples

Pandemics come in all shapes and forms. In Apples, the world has been hit by a pandemic that causes sudden memory loss. Aris, a single man in his late thirties, falls victim to this inexplicable wave. He enlists in a recovery program designed to help those affected who have not been picked up by family, build new identities. This film is a dystopian black comedy by Christos Nikou, Yorgos Lanthimos’ protégé – as known from the Greek weird wave in recent times. The same signature is here. A haunting, witty and disconnected style. If you’re digging the absurdity of Dogtooth and The Lobster, Apples will be a tasteful experience.

NB: This film will be shown with Norwegian subtitles.
