Here are the Amanda nominations

The Amanda committee and the Amanda jury announced the nominations for the Norwegian film award Amanda 2020 today, at a press conference in Oslo.

The national film award Amanda will be handed out for the 36th time on Friday August 14th at Festiviteten in Haugesund. The award ceremony will be arranged in a live broadcast for television on NRK2 and for radio on P2. Comedian and actor Odd-Magnus Williamson will host, and the award ceremony is produced by Monster.

The Amanda Awards are part of the 48th Norwegian Film Festival in Haugesund, which is held from August 14th – 21st.

25 films are eligible this year, 5 of which are documentaries and 9 are children’s films. Dag Johan Haugerud’s Children has the most nominations with a total of 10 nominations. Maria Sødahl’s Hope is in second with 8 nominations. Other than that, Ingvild Søderlind’s debut film All Foreigners Keep Their Curtains Closed and Jorunn Myklebust Syversen’s Disco have 5 nominations each.
